| There are many different way to get around Hoboken and its surrounding areas. Whether it be Manhattan or downtown Jersey City, Hoboken’s transportation system is one of the best around.
PATH Train The Port Authority Trans-Hudson (PATH) Rapid-Transit rail system serves as the primary transit link between Manhattan and Hoboken, as well as nearby cities such as Newark and surrounding suburban areas. Click on the map for more information. PATH schedule >> Hudson-Bergen Light Rail This newest and most modern public transportation system in the Northeast opened in 2000. It services much of western Hoboken, connecting with the surrounding cities of Bayonne, Jersey City, Union City, Weehawken, and North Bergen. Click on the photo for more information and schedules. There are several buses that run through Hoboken. The 126, 89, 22, 85 are the lines that run along the following streets: Washington, Observer Highway, Clinton, aand Willow…click below for schedules. The 126 offers direct service to the Port Authority Bus Terminal at 42nd Street in Manhattan. NY Waterway Ferry With two terminals in Hoboken, and with service from other areas along the Hudson River waterfront, the NY Waterway boasts of the "civilized" commute into midtown, downtown, or the Financial District of Manhattan. The Hoboken ferry terminals are located at the north end (14th Street) and at the south end (Hudson Place—next to Hoboken Terminal).

The Light Rail is a convenient way for "west-side" commuters to get to work.
Most buses stop at the Hoboken Terminal, as well as every 2-3 blocks on their route.
